The training was attended by 15 Filipino alumni of various Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus programmes who are active members of OCEANS and Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) Philippine Chapter.
The training was aimed to capacitate the alumni on how to effectively promote the Erasmus+ programme through different avenues. The alumni were refreshed on the significant details of the Erasmus+ programme and informed about the new components the programme is currently and will be implementing in the near future. Techniques on presentation and delivery were also part of the 1-day intensive training. As part of the activities, the alumni presented their diverse project proposals that they have thought of during the day: ranging from language preparation of outbound students, employment program for EM alumni, and promotion of a newly-established EM course. A capacity building seminar-workshop for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines on how to partner with European Universities and how to take advantage of the academic and traineeship schemes of Erasmus+ was also showcased.
The event was facilitated by the OCEANS Vice-President Elect Sunhee Kim, Erasmus Student Network (ESN) member Oscar Bojie, and CMS Working Group Member Kai Oelfke. This was made possible by the collaboration of OCEANS, EMA, and ESN and co-financing of ESAA.
