During the last weekend of November, from 24th to 25th, in Novi Sad, Serbia 20 young people took part in training ‘WORKshop ON ERASMUS’ that was funded through ESAA grant for Erasmus+ Promotion Activity.
The aim of this two-day day training was to provide volunteers of Erasmus Student Network Novi Sad with knowledge about the Erasmus+ programme and skills to deliver Erasmus+ workshops and present the programme at public events. The training consisted of well structured debates presentations and set of workshops that led to full understanding of participants, who are now eager and motivated to promote Erasmus+ programme further.
On one hand, participants learnt all the details about the Erasmus+ programme through interactive power-point presentations, discussions and Q&A sessions. Therefore, participants of the training have better understanding of Erasmus+ programme - especially about Erasmus+ Credit Mobility, Degree Mobility, Placement and Volunteering opportunities. This part of the training was of essential value to the participants, since they got an overview of all significant aspects of Erasmus+ programme and a chance to ask all relevant questions. On the other hand, set of three groups of Workshops were held. Each set was focused either on their public speaking and presentation skills, structuring and implementing a workshop, or on informing participants how important mobility is and how to prepare a successful Erasmus+ application for an exchange. This aspect of the training was very significant for their future preparation and implementation of public events, such as giving PPTs on Erasmus+ programme and holding a workshop on various Erasmus+ topics to different target groups.
We are looking forward to the multiplier effect of this training that will become more visible in upcoming months when these 20 individuals will actively promote Erasmus+ programme via various communication channels. Therefore, indirectly, 40.000 students of the University of Novi Sad will benefit the most from this successful project. We are expecting that the number of students interested in Erasmus+ exchange will increase in the next academic year.
