Board members met in person for the first time with the newly-selected great team of ESAA volunteers, which will animate the activities of the alliance for the year to come.
Board members held exchanges with each ESAA task force of volunteers (projects, communication and capacity building) on the opportunities and expectations for each of them and were very happy to see the quality and the energy of each ESAA volunteer. The next general meeting between the Board and the rest of the volunteers is planned for the ESAA Annual Conference on 20-23 June 2019 (more info coming soon!).
During the Board meeting, the new ESAA Memorandum of Understanding was finalized along with the new internal regulations. Whereas the former establishes the framework for coordinating the relationship among ESAA member organisations, the latter clarifies administrative aspects and decision-making procedures for a smoother management of the alliance.
The Board also discussed a new series of projects to be run by its member organisations in early 2019 and new approaches to improve the alliance’s outreach. Administrative and financial issues were also tackled.
The next meeting will take place in Istanbul on 5-7 April 2019.
