Presentation Highlight: Beyond Mobility – How Erasmus+ Paves the Way for Employability and Career Success
In a compelling session on 5 May, Mohammed Ashqar delivered an insightful presentation titled “Beyond Mobility: How Erasmus+ Paves the Way for Employability and Career Success”. His presentation spotlighted the transformational power of international mobility in shaping careers, expanding professional networks, and developing soft and hard skills essential in today’s competitive job market.
The talk emphasised how the OCEANS Network plays a pivotal role in sustaining this momentum by:
- Providing a collaborative platform for mentorship, networking, and outreach.
- Promoting access to international mobility opportunities, especially for underrepresented regions.
- Partnering with other regional and global alumni networks like ASAF and WBAA to advocate for inclusive educational exchange.
A Platform for Partnership and Progress
Throughout the week, participants engaged in presentations, cultural immersions, institutional showcases, and partnership fairs. The OCEANS Network's contribution resonated deeply with the event's spirit, advocating for continued collaboration and stronger internationalisation strategies in higher education.
Following the event, participants explored the cultural richness of Jordan, from the vibrant streets of downtown Amman to the rose-red city of Petra, and onward to the scenic viewpoints overlooking the Jordan Valley and Palestine. These experiences went beyond fostering academic exchange, deepening cultural understanding and the essence of Erasmus+.
