After two years of webinars, we were very glad to be able to hold the ESAA Capacity Building Seminars in a presential meeting, which gave a great opportunity for all participants to create new networks and synergies within ESAA Partner Organizations. The event took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on the 27 and 28 of August, 2022. 

The Capacity Building Seminars counted with 34 of the most enthusiastic volunteers of the alumni organizations of ESAA, within them one member of the African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) and one of the Western Balkans Alumni Association (WBAA) –both sister organizations of ESAA-- which participate in the ESAA Capacity Building Seminar for the first time.  

The Capacity Building Seminars topics were suggested and voted by the ESAA Liaison Group and chosen between 23 potential topics. The seminar topics that were selected are: “How to write Proposals for European Projects, Grant writing and applications” and “Diplomatic Communication and Negotiations: presentation skills, negotiation and public speaking”, given by Paul Bersans and Holger Osterrieder respectively.  

From the feedback of the participants, we know that the seminars were very useful, and the commitment of the participants were also great We are happy to have had such an enthusiastic group of participants who made the ESAA Capacity Building Seminars 2022 a complete success.
