From 15 to 17 November 2019, the ESAA project “From GROUP to TEAM” was implemented by Miruna Oana Vlad in Timisoara.

Have you ever noticed that youngsters learn better through the power of example?

We have. That is why we thought that a three-day training would be a great opportunity to mix friendship with knowledge and see what we obtain.

Between 15 and 17 November 2019, participants of the ESAA project “From GROUP to TEAM”, implemented by ESN volunteer Miruna Oana Vlad among others, escaped the crowded Timisoara and went to the mountains to access information that would improve their skills and facilitate the transmission of knowledge to the other members of ESN Timisoara in order to create a stronger community.

“From Group to Team” aimed at increasing the volunteers’ skills at a professional and personal level. It focussed on enhancing the relationship between members of the organisation through workshops and small sessions on teamwork, leadership, public speaking, problem solving, communication, awareness regarding social inclusion, promotion of Erasmus+ mobilities and on working as a team in order to bring better solutions to any situations.

After the three-day training, the volunteers transmitted their gathered information during the Share your Erasmus+ Experience Event, which took place at the West University of Timișoara. They showed outgoing Erasmus+ students how they could improve their CV and live their Erasmus+ experience to the fullest. Moreover, on 8 December 2019, ESN Timișoara hosted a Local Training, where volunteers who took part in the ESAA project shared their knowledge with the other members of the team.

The project influenced the participation of volunteers in our local and national events, encouraging them to step out of the comfort zone and acquire skills that would help them improve themselves, the relationship between them and the impact they have on our local ESN section, thus on the society.

The project emphasised that, to leave one’s mark, people must use their skills in a constructive way so that they become important factors in the development of the environment they live in.
