Now online available: Graduate Impact Survey 2018 of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master
Graduates experienced a positive impact on their future career and personality development.
The aim of the Graduate Impact Survey (GIS) is to investigate on the long-term effects of graduates and students that participated in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's programme. It is carried out on an annual basis to identify how the respective mobility programme contributes to the personal as well as professional development of its participants. Based on an online survey with 1.238 former and recent Erasmus Mundus students, researchers of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna summarized the results in the GIS report of 2018. Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA) supported the promotion of the survey which was carried out from December 18, 2018 until January 31, 2019.
By applying a quantitative approach, the report outlines the survey results in four key points: the satisfaction with Erasmus Mundus, the impact and profile of Erasmus Mundus as well as the places of residence and mobility of former graduates.
In general, the participants of the survey showed to be very satisfied with the programme and the courses. They argued that participating in the Erasmus Mundus Master's programme enabled them to develop personally and helped them to find a job relatively quickly which is mostly internationally orientated and related to their study programme. However, the survey also allowed to identify some points for improvement helping to further strengthen the future impact of Erasmus Mundus Master's programme.
