Increasing Social Inclusion, Empowerment and Participation: component 2: facilitate understanding across cultures, religions and political divides. With this project, we aim to break down the political divisions that we could potentially face with Brexit in both of our organisations, as mentioned before with the land border being the main case of concern. This project meets this cluster concerned as following the outcomes of the meeting, both organisations aim to ensure post-Brexit that cooperation won't be affected by political divides in our countries.

The event entailed both Erasmus Student Network UK and Ireland representatives discussing the effects of Brexit on the Erasmus+ programme in these countries. A big part of the meeting was focused on the analysis of the Brexit related actions plans of relevant Educational Stakeholders and Universities in both countries, in order to align them with our own Brexit Action Plan.

The outcome of the meeting was the creation of an action plan for both countries, with the aim to promote and support education and mobility both from our countries but also to our countries post Brexit. During the meeting, 15 International students were interviewed, in order to understand their fears in regard to Brexit and to turn them into focus points.

Furthermore, the participants discussed about their relations post-Brexit with Ireland sharing a land border with the UK, and the two countries signed a peace agreement for the common development of ESN sections in the region of Northern Ireland, in order to further support International Students after Brexit in that particular region, amongst all the others.
